I booked the Residenza Ave Roma based on the location and great reviews that I read and was certainly not disappointed. The location of the small property in Rome is excellent as we could walk to most major attractions like the Piazza Navona and the Vatican City and the Colosseum and Forum were just a handy bus ride away. The views of the St. Peter's Baslicia and Castel Sant'Angelo at night from the bridges close to the hotel were spectacular. Salvo and Vera are absolutely wonderful hosts and could not do enough to make us feel welcome and "at home". As soon as we were shown to our room Vera explained everything we needed to know about the property without being asked and supplied a map pointing out the attractions in Rome and advising how to get there, approx. How long it would take to walk etc., best places to shop and eat and if necessary what bus numbers we needed to catch. We were amazed at the service. Later in the day Salvo, the manager, made sure that he met us and provided plenty of information as well during our stay. They are both a credit to this hotel. The property itself is very clean, our room surprisingly roomy for Italian boutique hotels and the breakfast more than adequate. I would definitely recommend the Residenza Ave Roma to couples visiting Rome.

Salvo and Vera absolutely made the stay a great experience! Both treated us like family. Very endearing people who truly wanted to ensure we had a positive stay in Rome. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very safe. And being just a 10-minute walk from the Vatican was a plus. Salvo and Vera also provide good sound advice on general Rome activities. Thanks very much for a memorable stay in Rome.

Very clean and comfortable room with friendly staff. Within 10 minutes walking you can be at piazza Navona, St. Peter's square, Pantheon and generally Ave Rome is in a very convenient position.

Location inside the city near everything walking

Fantastic location, you can walk everywhere and also take the buses right next the hotel. The shuttle bus from Fiumicino airport stops 500 meters away. The Hotel it's great, really "romano" and the best of all is the personal (Salvo and company), really helpful, friendly and caring. The breakfast is really good and there's plenty to eat and you can have the breakfast served at your room with no cost!!

Elegant decor, really nice staff, good breakfast

Salvo (one of the manager's there) was a great host - very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The hotel itself was in an ideal location, right next to the river and a 5 minute walk to Piazza Navona. The room itself was perfect - a beautiful little room which had everything I needed and at a very reasonable price considering the location and quality of the room.service - was one of the cheapest I could find. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff at the Residenza was very helpful, there was a glitch with the booking and they contacted me to sort it out before I arrived.

The Residenza was a bit hard to locate, the street numbers seemed to be out of sequence but when I asked at a local cafe they pointed me in the right direction.

Solvo and Diana were both very helpful and hospitable. Solvo took a lot of time to map out Rome for us and answer our questions. We felt well taken care of.

Only negative was water pressure...

Clean room, nice breakfast, great location and very nice and friendly hosts.

The hotel staff was the best! We only had 2 nights in rome and had to see the most we could see in that little amount of time. We were centrally located and they offered us suggestions of places to go and not to go and the best place to eat ever! Very very helpful!!!

Excellent central location, great staff, very friendly overall, rooms very well laid out and nicely decorated.

A real gem in the centre of Rome with a nice authentic / quirky feel. Also special due to its size / limited number of quests and the great service. This is 'the' place to stay in you want to explore the city and enjoy the Terrace nightlife. When I go back to Rome there is no doubt I will stay here (or one of there other small city hotels) again!

The staff is extremely helpful, gives you directions to all the top things to do in Rome, plus tips and the best ways to get there. Makes you feel home at Rome!

Awesome staff. Small hotel but this added to the attention you receive. They were knowledgeable and helpful. Provided us with map, directions, information, and recommendations. Breakfast was sufficient and fresh (I loved the red orange juice and fresh baked croissants every morning). Great air conditioning. Very good location. Walking distance to a lot of attractions.

There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel.
